The Pogues are pissed. Last chance for concert tix/weekend in A.C.

An incredible offer of which none of you will likely take advantage:

Shane McGowan (left) and the Pogues are performing at the Borgata Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City on March 9th.

If anyone wants to go, please let me know. VIP tickets, limo service, a penthouse room, food and booze will be yours, free of charge.

You must let me know very soon if you are interested.

Assuming none of you will take advantage of this, I will preemptively call you all very lame.

Finals and Cold

Sorry about not posting a quicker reply Sam. I've been kind of caught up with finals over the last couple of weeks. Had two yesterday. 3 hours of stats = not fun.

Anyway, Ireland sounds quite interesting. I also worry about getting everyone on board, but I will not hold us back. I take that back, I have a class that only runs half the semester, and the final might be directly around St. Patrick's day. I'll have to check when the class is supposed to end online.

If Ireland doesn't work, we definitely need to do something. I've been trying to think what is central for all of us. Jonathan and I are the farthest West. I find it slightly funny that "Manifest Destiny" has only pushed one person West of the Mississippi. Anyway, central locations seem to be Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee. But those all sound kind of horrible. April or May would probably work better for me because I know my class will be over, but I'll check my class schedule.

We need more input on this issue. I demand it.
Later, Chris

Spring Break '06

Dudes,

Well, Ireland does sound amazing. I'm torn. I wouldn't mind the ease of just going somewhere central (in the United States) and all getting drunk around a fire, but I can also see the attraction of going to Ireland and all getting drunk around a fire and trying to get Ted to ride a wild goat. I'm guessing the former (a camping trip, staying in the US, etc.) might be a little easier to pull off, even though it isn't as sweet. Those are my two cents. What do the rest of you guys think?

Shamrocks and Shennanigans

How about St. Patricks Day (March 17) in Dublin, Ireland? Tickets from here are $465. Ive got friends we can stay with so there will be no lodging costs. This is my new top choice for our spring fling, let me know what you think.

Yo...

And for the 5th year in a row I will not be able to attend the Spring Break trip! I will be playing during that time! Booooooo to me once again. Catch you guys on the flip side.

Peace...from the B-Lo.

spring break 06

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgivings. Ted I am sorry (again) to hear (again) that you have broken up (again) with Lauren. I hope you two can patch things up soon (again). I havent talked to you in forever, i'll give you a call this week.

So spring break 06...what are we going to shoot for here? casino, beach, camping or what? I will likely only be able to do a friday to sunday thing, maybe a thursday to sunday thing. what month is best for people? I would probably lean toward vegas or a warm beach. perhaps late mid/late march.

Looking ever so forward to your swiftest of replies.

From our nations capital with much love.

random news

Just an update in case anyone was wondering, which you probably weren't.. I finally broke up with Lauren for good this time, so I am single again. Also, Chris and Jonathan might find it amusing that my wallet was actually turned in to NDSP after the Navy game and my olympic sprint through Castle Point in an attempt to catch the cabbie. And I also am working the glamorous job of receiving at Barnes and Noble for the holidays and maybe longer. I would also be down for the spring break thing if I'm not working then.. SPRING BREAK 2006!! Alright, that's all I have.. peace out

Ted

Wow!

It is a good thing I don't look shit-faced in every one of those pictures. My poor liver.

I've got papers, presentations and stats shit this week and then finals. Maybe I am ready for the real world. But I did have time to see Harry Potter last night, frickin' sweet dudes.

Peace,
Chris

sweet

Sam,

I hope, and suspect, I was part of those phone calls. As usual, I blacked out and don't remember the majority of the night...3.5 hour blackout...one of my best. It was just like college except that I had to drive all the way back to St. Louis, work on a project until 1:00am Sunday night, wake up at 7:00am, puke and work all day. My co-workers all noted how 'tired' I looked. Oh well. What are everyone else's thoughts on a roomies rendezvous in the spring? It sounds like Chris, Sam and I are in...who else? Talk to you soons friends.

Jonathan

Monday, November 14, 2005

From the lovely and highly time-appropriate phone calls I got over the weekend, the Navy game must have been good times.

I'd be down for a spring get-together such as the one Jonathan mentioned. Vegas? Atlantic City? Fort Wayne? Ill be there.

Weekend Fun

Hey all,

I'm also going to the game this weekend. I don't know if I'm coming in today or on Saturday with my family. Whatever the deal is, I'm excited to drink the weekend away.

Check out this picture http://www.flickr.com/photos/prototype/57219864/.

See ya,
Chris

YEAAAAAAHHH!!

Dudes,

I'm arriving in beautiful South Bend around 10pm on Friday. Teddy, you better be coming up for the game because we won't be able to pick up any chicks sans your debonair moves. Anthony, you're message in which you joked "yaddayaddayadda...or I'll kill you" made me laugh...nervously. Chris, I think it might be a bit chilly this weekend, perfect for festive sweater-vests. Axford, I call little spoon. See you soon dudes!!

Jonathan

Ohhhhh the good old times!!!

I was looking through some of my pictures to show the guys here what the tailgate is going to be like...but as the search deepened I found something rather AWESOME...thought I would share!

Dear John:

This letter will confirm the outcome of the Disciplinary Conference you attended on Septemeber 19, 2003. You met me to discuss an incident which occurred in Dillon Hall on August 30, 2003. Also present at the conference was Rev. Paul Doyle, CSC, Rector of Dillon Hall.

On Friday night, august 29, you and Patrick Scarlett hosted a gathering of women in your room. Drinking games were being held in your room; however, you indicated that you do not remember seeing this. Hard alcohol was provided by Patrick and it was consumed by the women. You indicated that you consumed a couple of cans of beer. Around 11:30 pm, Samuel Young and Christopher Staron returned to the room from a concert, and you left. Later in the evening, one of the women who was in your room was transported to the hospital due to her level of intoxication.

....and so on and so on...

Hahahahaha, oh the Good old times.

PS- I never paid $150 fine. I told them I did and they believed me! Stupid trustworthy bastards!

YESSSSSSS

T-minus 2 days until absolute awesomness at Notre Dame with some of you fools!

I'll most likeley be in around midnight or so on Friday night. We have to practice and lift and such then we're hauling ass for the 7 hour drive to South Bend!

I'll call along the way to see whats going on for the evening...but it looks as though we (6 others plus me) might be going to Finnies. I heard thats the hot spot for Friday nights because its all alumni on football weekends! Other than that...gonna be tailgating until I die, old school style with the baseball team. All of you guys are welcome. Not sure where it is yet. I might be getting a parking pass so they don't get in trouble and so it can be in a central location!

See you dudes soon!

CAN'T WAIT!!!!

nice pics

Axford, you're starting to look huge in those pictures. I was Bob Dylan for Halloween, which = jean jacket and a harmonica + lazy.

I'm going to ND this weekend for the Tennessee game with Rowlands. Hopefully I get to see a home win this year.

Nothing else too exciting in my life. I have a good picture to post, but I have to find it first.

Peace

I blogged my pants

Hey friends,

Meryl says hello from Senegal to everyone. Yesterday, she told her Senegalese family how delicious American candy is and then gave them fireballs and took pictures of them as they suffered and spat them out. She's doing so much good. Anyway, she wanted me to forward you guys an e-mail with her mailing address, etc but I only had Bango and Christofuzzyballs' e-mail addresses. If you other guys could email me your addresses, that'd be great. Mine is jsundy@gmail.com. Thanks dudes! Oh, and what would be your thoughts on planning a weekend in the Spring when we all meet up and go camping or to Vegas or something? An annual reunion of sorts, instead of hit or miss ND games. Let me know. Later dudes!

Jonathan

PS - Sam, here is how you make a new post: when you're viewing the blog page, click on the "I Power Blogger" image in the right-hand column. Then, click on the green cross under "new post" to make a post. Hope this helps.

And to prove how much I love you, take a look at one of the many pictures i have of you on my computer!

hello, i'm johnny cash

The new johnny cash movie is gonna be sweet, but what I'm really excited about is the "goblet of fire."

Wednesday, October 26, 2005

Chris?

Chris,

Dude, you haven't posted in awhile. I just wanted to make sure you're ok. Odds are, you're probably trying to download pictures of Joaquin Phoenix to pin over your Star Wars posters since he's going to be in the new Johnny Cash movie. Am I wrong?

I will be leaving Sunday afternoon. Keep in touch eveyone!

Thursday, October 20, 2005

Hello there,

I just wanted to say congrats Teddo and screw you guys for putting up that Grad pic! It makes me sad knowing that i missed that...therefore i hate you!

Anyways, I also wanted to mention that just like Sundy I will be at the Navy game with a bunch of guys from my new team out here at Canisius. They're looking forward to tailgating after seeing some of my pictures...and then seeing how incredibly crazy i got during the USC game whilst yelling at the TV!

Miss you guys...later...

AX

hey dudes

Hey dudes,

Man, is this blogger sweet or what? Just wanted to let everyone know that I plan on going to ND for the Navy game. Unfortunately, I can't make the Tennessee game because I'm going to watch Michael Flatley in 'Celtic Tiger'...tickets were only $200, really, I would have been some kind of idiot NOT to buy them. Hope everyone is doing well. Ted, you're the man. Talk to you soon dudes!

Congrats Teddy

Way to go on IU. I had a feeling that you would never be leaving Indiana j/k. On a related note, it brings a tear to my eye to see two people that aren't me posting. This idea may just work yet.

John, I did not take my digital camera to the game. I never like to having bulging pockets. But I promise that I'll post some other assorted pics soon.

I finally have a future

Hi everybody, I wanted to let you know that I got into IU School of Medicine today. I may just celebrate by going on a drinking binge for the next week. Now that I don't necessarily have to get a research job to impress anyone anymore I may find something else here or look for a job in in Indianapolis until August if I decide for sure to go to IU. I just thought I'd let everyone know the good news, and I'll talk to you later.

My first post

I'm so excited to be part of this digital world.....hopefully this'll work and people will actually post things. Chris: you should post a few pictures from the USC game if you have any. And to anyone that missed the game, it was great. You should feel bad.

I'll be at the Tennessee game next, hopefully Sam'll be there too.

Gotta run to class.....yea med school

Monday, October 17, 2005

Hey, I just thought I'd open all of your eyes to the possibility of posting pictures on the blog. As you can see Axford has the "hard" look down, while I lean my head a bit too far back and let everyone see my extremely uneven nostrils.

Football Games

Now that football season is here, I figured it might be a good idea to find out who is coming back for what games.

I'm going back for all except the BYU game I think.

I know Rowlands was gonna come for USC, Anthony for Navy, and I can't remember what Greg said. Anyways, if anyone is going to a game, and needs a ride from the airport, I might be of some assistance. No promises! but if I can I will.

Friday, September 23, 2005

In fact, I'm hoping we'll all talk about the same amount. I can add you guys as members so you can make posts instead of just comments too, but we'll see if we can get it going first.

First Post

Hey guys, just trying to use this as a way to keep in touch. I promise there will be no lame long posts about the meaning of life or state of the Polish government.
