White and Nerdy

Since we're showing internet movies, here is a hilarious Weird Al video remix of Ridin' Dirty-

YouTube is a great place to waste time watching videos of dancing midgets-

and other intellectual topics.

Anyway, I just went through having 4 tests, or 7 depending on how you count them, in 2 weeks, and I'm on fall break until Tuesday. It's a ton of studying without much sleep, but medical school is interesting, and my classmates are really cool and actually like to go out when we can. Bloomington is a great real college town, and if anyone wants to come to go out to the bars and hang out, I can find a weekend when I'm free and I promise it will be worth the visit. I am dating a new girl now also.. her name is Heather, she is in Indianapolis and is a senior at IUPUI in nuclear medicine. She is not thick at all either. We have really only seen each other a few times, but we have a lot in common and get along well, so we'll see how it goes. It's good to hear from everyone again, and I'll talk to you later.

UCLA game

Duuuuudes,

Hey friends, how are you all? I'm feeling fat and sassy. My job has been hectic, but I just got put as lead designer on two new projects...so that's cool. I'm buying my sister's condo within the next couple of weeks (for those of you who haven' t heard, she got engaged to her boyfriend in Australia and she's moving there). So, that's big news. Other than that, I'm playing soccer in four different leagues and trying to figure out how I'm going to get rich so I don't have to work anymore. Sam, I'm about ready to start our billion dollar business.
Meryl's doing really well. She just hit the one year mark in Senegal, so she's almost exactly half way through her service. She found a spider in her nose the other day and now has a mole that randomly bleeds...so like I said, she's doing really well.
Anyway, the real reason I'm writing is to let you guys know that I'm heading to South Bend for the UCLA game (Oct 21). It sounds like Rowlands, Chris and Ax will be there too...so if anyone else can make it, that would be phenomenal. Pat? Drink some cold beers and pretend you care about the game? Hope everyone is doing well. Later dudes!!

with much hetero manlove,
Jonathan

PS - Speaking of manlove, I talked to Greg tonight and he said he was going out to a dance club with 5 gay dudes (not that there's anything wrong with that) but maybe give him a call because he sounds desperate for some attention. Gaily desperate.

My Spoon is Too Big! ...or... Tuesday is coming, did you bring your coat? ... or... I live in a giant bucket ... or... I'm the queen of France!

I know I could've just commented on Sundy's post but I wanted everyone to see this...

Did you know that that particular cartoon was nominated for an academy award?
For serious! In 2001 it was nominated for the best short film, animated.

It is also done by this guy that is an absolute genius in animation and short comedy (at least i think). Don Hertzfeldt.

Listen, you have to go to yahoo.com...type in his name (Don Hertzfeldt)... and then click on video. A bunch of his shorts will come up. I particularly enjoy "Billy's Balloon". I think you'll get a kick out of it...it's good shit. (And also look at "Ah l'amour" because there's a part in there that i think is hilarious. All I'll say is triple thick (x 10). hahaha

They're funny stuff I'm telling you.

And if you don't believe me about the Oscar thing check it out here.
http://imdb.com/title/tt0234588/
It shows all the nominations and awards and such just before the line break in the page. It's also (according to the site) one of the best shorts ever made (#37 to be exact)!!!

If they don't happen to work you can search for them online and watch them...or buy them cause he has a DVD!

Anyways, enjoy them the way that I did...many many times...

Peace

Diary of a Fat Man

Allo all!

So I'm not very regular about my blogging; get off of me! No, I really enjoy hearing what everyone's up to, even if I don't weigh in often enough myself.

Axford -- Holy crap, sweet! We all knew things would work out somehow, and then this...

Chris -- HOLY CRAP, SWEET! Chris with a girlfriend; I'm, um, speechless. Congrats. Not thick? A forgivable sin. Unlike if she weren't a Star Wars fan.

John -- Glad you're bro's doing well. And I'm mad curious as to what happened with Erin; I take it there's a good story to be told during 'guy time'

Recent history of Pat Scarlett:

Summer at the BMW plant wrapped up nicely, but I'm happy to be back at school... I probably put in more total hours of work at school, but the extracurriculars are where it's at. The drinking goes on pretty much wedneday through saturday, and there's no reason there can't be a happy hour on monday or tuesday. I'm not a traitor to Notre Dame football (I'm always talking about the program with other people like I'm the #1 fan!), but I might be a traitor to ND tailgaiting. Southern schools really know how to do it. I don't bother attending games even when I have a ticket, so I just tailgait for like 14 hours straight, whether at Clemson of USC.

Oh, my new favorite "sport": Tubing. I did it at least every other sunday over the summer. We'd go to this river just over the NC border, rent tubes and get a ride all for 12 bucks, and drink beer like crazy over the 5 hour ride. Then drive home down the mountain.... yyyyeeeeeeaaaaaaaaahhhhhh!!!! And I've found a similar operation down here in Columbia too. I highly recommend that any of you do it if anyone knows a similar setup in your locality. On a related note, Pat Scarlett has started working out (GASP)! I mean I cant' stand lifting weights or running, no sir, so I swim every day before class. Invigorating; and it doesn't cost me much time since I just shower at the gym and walk the 500 feet from the gym to the law school.

Academically I have about the same level of work as last year, but a little more stress b/c 1) I'm somewhat of an editor on one of our scholarly journals, which eats about 10 hours a week, and 2) Interviewing season for next summer's interships started August 1st and go on all fall, just in case I wasn't worrying about it enough. Where I get an internship next summer has a large bearing on whether I will start at 6 figures doing the kind of work I want to do, or whether I will be a public defender making as much as a schoolteacher.

As per the ladies: So I took this girl out last thursday to the law school democrats function, I picked her up and everything, and when we're getting late night food she's fixin to make out with this guy sitting next to her, Sven, so I pretend to have lost my phone and need to go look for it, and leave her ass to get a cab home at 4 a.m.! Serves her right, bitch.

But then I meet this chick friday night that it looks like I'm sorta dating by now. If anyone wants to hear a raunchy Pat Scarlett story, gimme a call or ask next time you get a chance, but I know enough about the tort of defamation to know that I can't put it in print. Her name's Mary Kennington (double first name; 5 syllables), she's a year older but she just started her first year at USC law; she's from Greenville. Also not thick at all. There's a first time for everything, right McV?

Well, doesn't look like I'll be making it to a game this year either, between the money and the fact that it's really hard academically to be gone for 3 days. Someone get married. I'll definitely make it to all of those. Well, good luck to all; love hearing from you guys... Later cats!

Pat

Hey y'all

I apologize for not blogging in a while. I should be more true to the blog since I am the one who created it. Anyway, it was nice to see all of you at the game this past weekend. My body pretty much shut down on Sunday when I got home. Thank god for energy drinks.

My classes are in full swing right now, which kind of sucks. I have class Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday night. I spend about 5.5 hours a week just going to and from class, so give me a call after nine and I'll probably be on the road.

I'm pretty sure everyone knows by this point that I started dating someone (a girl). She seems to like me, which I still have trouble understanding, but oh well. Her name is Molly, and she really likes cheese and red meat, although she is not at all thick. The story I was telling everyone this weekend to display how compatible we are was: We were hanging out at her place after dinner and she just says, "You want to watch Star Wars?" I had a hard time not proposing.

Speaking of Star Wars, I bought the original theatrical version on DVD yesterday. George Lucas sucked some more money out of me. HD-DVD will probably replace DVD within the next year and then my copy will be obsolete, but I had to have it.

Hope all of your lives are well,
Peace Out,

Chris

How come every time you come around my London, London Bridge wanna go down?

Ax here,

Sup duuuuuuuudes... (I really hope all of you have heard that intoxicating song that is listed in my title, cause it kicks ass! HA)

So on to the good stuff. Today is Wednesday and as of today I will not be making it to ND for the game. I have two interviews tomorrow (just at a high end restaurant and bar) so I can finally make some dough. I'm just hoping for rich old people to give me good tips and then drunk college kids to not remember how much money they gave me...In the end it's all a positive for old Johnny A. I may also have an interview shortly with CH TV, which is a Canadian network channel. Unsure of what i'd be doing there though but it would mean a full time job which also equals money!

Believe it or not, I am also currently writing a screenplay (or a script if you will) for a film that is already in and will be a go once the screenplay is done and actors are cast. Rumor is that Matthew McConaughey is looking at the lead role. The guy I'm writing it for is in LA and it is partially based off of his life. It's a movie about little league baseball today. Not so much a "yeah, we win at the end of the movie" kind of movie...it's more about the life of a coach who pushes his young players too far. Think of Bobby Knight (for 12 year olds), mixed with a little "Hardball" (if you've seen that movie), "Any Given Sunday" type controversy, with a dash of "Desperate Housewives". It's a little crazy to say the least but I'm loving it so far. I don't currently have that job exclusively. There is at least 1, maybe 2, other people writing for this. Once I complete my treatment (the story summarized in 25 pages) and script he's gonna fly me down to LA and have me pitch it to the production company, Green Diamond Entertainment, which is owned and operated by Jason Giambi, Mike Piazza, and Robin Ventura!!! And if I get that job that would equal a metric ton of money!!!

So what I'm saying is, I'm poor as fuck (for lack of better words)! I have no money and no way of getting to ND. I would absolutely love to go but the only way possible was if someone paid for a train ticket for me and then paid my entire weekend for me (I do have $13 american though)! I love you guys so much that I even tried to take out a line of credit so i could have money, but apparently you can't get a line of credit with no credit! And I wasn't about to ask the parents. When I get these jobs I will have plenty of flow to use to make my way back this fall once, or maybe even twice! So I hope you dudes can understand.
I wanna do is party with you!

Honest to God though, if anyone even considers actually buying my way down there I will give you many things, one of which is all your money back of course, and the other would be stuff that I can't talk about on the blog! HA (seriously)

Now that I've waisted everyones time with my enormous rants I will leave you be...
I apologize to all for letting you down! Just make sure I get drunk phone calls!

Peace

Sweet Cherry Pie

Sup y'all,

Ax-em-ford: I hope you're coming up to the game this weekend....it's been way to long buddy. Will you be there?

Pat: How goes it? Law school treating you well?

Sam: Haven't seen your sweet ass in ages. I can't wait, can you?

Ted: Ted, Ted, Ted......Any new ladies? I hope you're bringing one for me to the game.

Chris: Speaking of ladies, any chance your's will be stopping on by? I hear she has huge knockers.

Anthony: Are you even on this blog?

Greg: Ditto.

Erin: Fuck you. (In case she sees this somehow. I can explain later to any of you if you want. That lasted long.)

I'll be getting in to Chicago around 6:30 and SB hopefully shortly afterwards.

-John

Dudes,

I'm driving in on Friday and should arrive in South Bend around 7:00pm. Oh, and I'm bringing Tons of Fun (aka - 'The Party') so you know things are going to get crazy. By the way, does anyone have tickets (or rather, an extra ticket)? Who else is coming in on Friday? Ax, you better drive your poor self down here after ditching Alissa on her day of glory...you'll be making billions soon anyway. Can't wait to see you guys!

- Jonathan

PS - I just got to spend a couple of weeks with Meryl (on her one visit home from Senegal) and she says 'hi' to everyone. Especially you, Ted.
