well, I figure I'll say a quick group goodbye (oh, and I broke my d key so typing is a bitch, I have to cut and paste every time I want to type that letter). I'm off for about a month and a half in foreign lands. this is my first deployment, though thankfully not to a war zone. I will, however, be working counterterrorism, counterintelligence, and other such force protection issues, which is pretty cool and kinda intimidating (I'll be responsible for about 1000 soldiers safety). anyway, I'll try and send someone an email to post up here to say hi to you all and let you know what's going on while I'm gone, but if not I'll talk to you all when I get back. take care and I'll talk to you all soon.
P.S. If I went to Iraq as planned, I would have been directly involved in the raid described in this story. It would have been awesome.
